Miss Angola Leila Lopez won the Miss Universe, Shamcey Supsup 3rd runner up Miss Universe 2011

And the winner is Miss Angola, Leila Lopez, for the Miss Universe 2011. The 60th year of the pageant was held September 2, 2011 at Credicard Hall Sao Paolo, Brazil. Ximena Navarrete of Mexico Miss Universe 2010 crowned the new Miss Universe, her succesor. Miss Angola was judged winner and the best among the 88 candidates who vied for the prestigious beauty pageant.

Many were surprised to hear that the winner for this year Miss Universe is not their bet. My bet is Shamcey Supsup from the Philippines who landed 3rd runner up. She was a true beauty and brains for she graduated magna cum laude at University of the Philippines and topped the license examination for architecture.

This year's questions for the top 5 contestants:

- Nude beaches are common in some parts of the world. Is public nudity appropriate or inappropriate and why?
- If you could change one of your physical characteristics, which one would it be and why?
- If you could trade lives with anyone in history, who would it be and why?
- Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person you love? Why and why not?
- What would you do to avoid fighting a war that you did not agree with it?


Well, some says she, Shamcey Supsup, should win the beauty pageant but lost to Miss Angola, Miss Brazil and Miss Ukraine. There are also allegations that Miss Angola Leila Lopez, faked her documents to enter the Miss Angola beauty contest held in London.

According to Britain’s Official Charts Company, Amy Winehouse’s Grammy-award winning “Back to Black” has become the best-selling album in the U.K. in the 21st century. “Back to Black” overtook James Blunt’s 2005 debut album to claim the title this week.

Amy Winehouse’s second album had jumped to the No. 1 spot on the charts shortly after the soul singer was found dead in her London town house on July 23.


An initial post-mortem failed to determine cause of death, and Winehouse’s family said Tuesday that toxicology tests showed she had no illegal drugs in her system when she died.

Natalie Portman wins Best Actress Oscar for her Black Swan performance. She was very beautiful and humble as she receive her trophy.

Natalie Portman got her to Oscars glory Sunday, winning best actress for her role in the disturbing, sexually-charged thriller "Black Swan" -- a film on which she met her husband-to-be.

The 29-year-old, who is expecting her first child with French fiance Benjamin Millepied, plays a ballerina driven to the edge of madness by her quest for perfection and the starring role in "Swan Lake."

The Black Swan movie, which includes a graphic lesbian scene with Mila Kunis as her ballet rival-come-lover, was the latest triumph for the former "Star Wars" heroine who has a degree in psychology from Harvard.

Very charming, gorgeous, talented actress, Natalie Portman deserves a Best Actress Oscar.
