Halloween pumpkins carving tips and patterns
for this time of the year. Halloween is one of the best time of the year where families get together and make a bonding and spend quality time for the family. Celebrate Halloween and let this year be memorable to your family, kids and love ones.

One of the Halloween activity is pumpkin carving, one of the traditional activity during this time of the year. Children loves this activity.

Pumpkin carving is simple. Just buy a pumpkin big enough, almost the size of your head will do and cut some holes. LOL!

Here are some tips for Halloween pumpkin carving and some patterns you can copy for this .

Halloween Pumpkins Carving Tips:

Materials needed:
•Pumpkin
•Printer and paper
•Spoon
•Small nail or pumpkin poker
•Serrated knife or pumpkin saw

1.Prepare your pumpkin by:
a. Cut a hole in the top for the lid. Make sure you angle the saw inwards so your lid sits on top of the pumpkin and doesn’t just fall through
b. Scoop out the seeds and strings with a spoon
c. Scrape some of the flesh from the inside so your pumpkin is about an inch thick all the way around (or at least wherever you’ll be carving). You can poke a straight pin through it to estimate the thickness

2.Print out the pattern.

3.Tape or use pins to affix the pattern to the pumpkin.

4.If your pumpkin is quite lumpy, dip the paper in water
a.Smooth the pattern onto the pumpkin, affix with pins or masking tape and let the paper dry.
b.You can also make small cuts in the paper where it bunches so it lies flat on the pumpkin. Add pins or tape to hold

5.Bore holes through the pattern with a nail, push pin or pumpkin poker. Make the holes about 1/8th inch apart (or even closer for more complicated patterns). This step can take quite awhile so be patient. Just place the pumpkin in your lap and work away at it.

6.Remove the paper from the pumpkin.

7.Rub flour or chalk dust all over the part where you poked the holes so you can see them better.

8.Push a nail through the pumpkin skin where you want to start carving.
a. Turn and push until it’s all the way into the pumpkin, then remove.
b. Repeat anywhere you're going to need to start carving (eyes, nose, etc).
c. You want to do all the pushing before you start carving because it take some pressure (once you start carving, the pumpkin becomes weaker and applying pressure may cause it to break)

9.Using your nail hole as a starting point, cut the design with your serrated knife or saw. Start somewhere in the center of the design to keep from putting too much pressure on areas already carved. There's your Use a sawing motion to cut out your design, using very light pressure… take your time and allow the sawing to do the work rather than applying pressure and forcing it.

10.When making curves, just slightly turn the saw. When making sharp corners, remove the saw and re-insert it at an angle.

11.To remove pieces, push them out from the inside. For larger pieces, you may want to cut them into smaller bits and remove them in sections.

12.Your pumpkin is all set, use a pumpkin light (safer than a candle) or a candle in a candleholder designed for pumpkins to light it up.

There's your pumpkin ready for this Halloween. I hope this Halloween Pumpkins Carving Tips Patterns help you. Happy Halloween!

Shiloh Pepin the mermaid girl dies|pictures|video

Shiloh Pepin, known as the mermaid girl has died. She was ten years old. The little girl was born with a disease known as mermaid syndrome or sirenomellia and caught the attention and won the hearts of many people after appearing on the Oprah Winfrey Show and have her own documentary film on TLC.

Shiloh the little mermaid, died on Friday after catching cold that worsened until she had pneumonia.

Shiloh, when she was born was not expected to live more than a few days, but she managed to live on until the age of ten. She never had surgery that could separate her legs from each other. Shiloh’s legs were fused that major blood vessels would have been damage and the operation would have caused her death.

Her story is a story of courage and strength. Her mother had the following to say about her daughter. ‘She was a tough little thing.” Yes indeed Shiloh the little mermaid was tough enough to survive for ten years. The courage and strength of the girl makes us “normal” people wonder. How in the world she lived that long? The answer?… her courage and strength and the support of her parents and the people around her.

Rest in peace Shiloh Pepin the mermaid girl.

Here's a condolence video from Youtube.

Filippa Hamilton photoshopped photo | pics

Filippa Hamilton, a super model and favorite of Ralph Lauren posed in a photoshopped image? She was a 23 year old thin model and French-Swedish. She was a daughter of a Count and must properly be called Countess Filippa Hamilton.

This photo was photoshopped (retouched), according to Boing-boing. The body proportion was obvious. The head is much bigger than the pelvis they said. The snapped shot of the ad was posted at the mock site Photoshop Disasters.

See the other pics of Filippa Hamilton and appreciate the natural beauty of the Countess i hope this pics are not photoshopped:
